Task Force Argo evacuates 147 Americans, Green Card Holders, SIVs, and their families from Afghanistan.
On Friday, October 8, 2021, the dedicated volunteers at Task Force Argo successfully evacuated another 147 people from Afghanistan. Task Force Argo continues to collaborate with Save our Allies on the reception and temporary bed down of the evacuees in a nearby country.
Task Force Argo diligently vetted the passenger flight list to ensure only passengers with eligible U.S. immigration status flew. The manifest was also shared with the U.S. State Department for certain screening checks to ensure no criminals or terrorists made it onto the plane.
In the spirit of honoring the promise and leaving no one behind, Task Force Argo successfully rescued 11 American Citizens, 8 Green Card Holders, and 85 of their immediate family members. The flight also included Special Immigrant Visa holders, applicants, and their families.
Task Force Argo gave these 147 souls a leg up on a new beginning, saving them from Taliban death squads. The passengers communicated abundant thanks to their respective Task Force Argo volunteers and donors.
There are thousands of Americans, Green Card Holders, and Afghan allies left behind. Task Force Argo needs help in raising funds for future flights, safehouses, and follow-on refugee camp operations.
