Masood
Greetings,
I am Masood. I was a Green Beret Linguist for several teams. I went on almost more than 100 Missions to over half of my country (Afghanistan) to help with interpretation and translation for my U.S. military friends.
My lifestyle in the military was different but sweet; prior to supporting the U.S. I worked as an English language instructor. Working with U.S. Army Special Forces was the toughest job of my life. For example, on one 48 hour mission, we walked and climbed nine mountains ranging in altitude, the smallest of which 16,000 feet. At the end of that mission my unit Team SGT called me the “Hero of Two Rifles” as I helped two comrades by carrying their rifles reducing the weight my fellow fighters had to carry, allowing them to complete the journey.
When Kabul fell to the Taliban I was there, I went to Hamid Karzai international airport (HKIA) many times for evacuation; however, I was not able to make it into the airport due to the unbelievable crowd and chaos. Many friends tried helping me like, people I served with, as well as other advocators and friends. I and my friends together completed multiple forms for evacuation offered by several organizations offering humanitarian evacuation; unfortunately, these requests and pleas for help all went unanswered. Except for the form which was filled Task Force Argo.
Task Force Argo helped me and saved my life. Task Force Argo has gifted me a new life outside Afghanistan. Thank you so much to Ms. Sylvia and Ms. Molly who have patiently texted me for all the updates and notifications and housed me in a safe house with others like me. They are worth the Golden Medal of honor.
Thank you Task Force Argo for saving my life.
Special thanks from My lovely wife who has always helped and support my decisions!
Regards,
Masood
